Not to sound the alarms, but this chart of minutes in top 5 leagues by age cohort is a little disheartening in a sense. We'd like to see U23 minutes just consistently expand as we produce more talent; however, as Pulisic, Mckennie, and Adams have aged out of the young cohort, we've seen a drop in top 5 minutes among U23. And without many U20 guys on the cusp, we'll see further deterioration in U23 minutes in top 5 leagues for the pool as a whole.

OK but why is this a relevant metric? We have a good core of players heading into their mid 20s, and a pipeline of teenagers doing well.

Whelp, Rodrigo out around 2 months for Leeds. That really couldn't have come at a worse time.

The absolute shit talking from other Americans the US Open Cup twitter account got for saying yes there is something like the FA Cup over here (looking at you very out of touch Rob McElhenney) is sad. Euro obsession to the max.

If your response isn’t at least “huh, neat!” then it’s clear to me you just don’t like soccer… which is fine, I’m way beyond minding that. It’s seeing people assume this stance as the guardians of True, Authentic soccer and then disrespecting the USOC that really bothers me. People claim to need a laundry-list of prerequisites fulfilled before they’ll deign to enjoy a competition… I’d counter that they probably just don’t like the sport that much to begin with.

Players I liked in the January Camp:
-our starting front 3 vs Serbia
-our starting fullbacks vs Colombia,
-Soñora and Slonina.

MLS signing with AppleTV in order to grow the sport, following up with "LOL it's like $120/season" is pretty freaking funny. I wanted to check it out to peek at some games, but it isn't worth that much.

I think the a good about the set up right now is they keep saying 40% of the games are free to AppleTV subscribers.
And enough people probably have access (not necessarily pay for themselves) for that to work out well.

There are still some free games for everyone on Apple. The whole opening weekend is free. Some games still on Fox too.

The manager of Nottingham Forrest is the most comical looking human being I’ve ever seen

Based on reviews of Jan Camp, I think I can solidly say everyone mixed up Pomykal and Morris a lot.
One review will be like: “Morris was everywhere, Pomykal looked lost.”
The next will be like: “Pomykal was everywhere, Morris looked lost.”
